Bono is interviewed by Michael Lev and topics include how U2 formed, early attempts to cover The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones, playing pubs in Dublin, Bono shopping U2 demos in London, U2-3, The Edge, early impressions of America, and playing the University Of Chicago the night before. In 1979, Bono appeared on an RTE chat show to discuss singing. He was the “rock singer” on a panel with Dr. Veronica Dunne of the Royal Irish Academy, RTE host Pat Kenny, and others. In 2005, much of this panel discussion was re-broadcast on the John Bowman Saturday morning show. First aired 1979.
